Chapel Hill Primary School

Breakfast & Tea-Time Club

We offer Breakfast Club and Tea-Time Club for children in Rising 3's and Rising 4's (Nursery) and in the school.

Hours

Breakfast club - 7.30am to 8.40am

Tea Time club - 3.00pm to 6.30pm

At our Breakfast Club, children are given toast, bagels, cereals, fruit, low-fat yoghurt, juice or water.  At our after-school Tea Time Club, children are offered a healthy snack around 4pm such as beans on toast or pitta bread with salad and tuna.  Water is freely available at all times.

We actively promote independence by encouraging the pupils to prepare their own snacks and to clear away after themselves.  We use fresh ingredients and follow statutory guidelines.

Individual dietary requirements and parental preferences are met wherever possible.  We recognise the importance of healthy nutrition and this is delivered in a calm, friendly setting. The menu is displayed in the club and is also available on request.

The snacks and drinks we serve are not intended to substitute a main evening meal that the child will receive at home.

You have the freedom to book into Tea Time Club for the whole week or odd days, whichever suits your requirements.  However bookings must be made in advance and on a termly basis.  Breakfast club can be used on an ad hoc basis, and there is no need to book.
