Art at Chapel Hill
Vision
At Chapel Hill, we believe art should inspire creativity, self-expression and confidence. We aim to provide pupils with rich opportunities to explore ideas, experiment with materials, and develop their own unique artistic voice. Through a supportive and stimulating environment, we celebrate individuality and achievement, enabling every child to reach their full creative potential.
Intent
Our Art curriculum is designed to encourage children to explore, experiment and create using a wide range of materials, media and techniques.
We aim for all pupils to:
- Produce high-quality artwork
- Develop confidence in expressing their ideas and creativity
- Recognise and celebrate their own achievements and those of others
- Learn about significant artists and designers across time
- Understand how art reflects and shapes culture, history and society
Through this, pupils gain both practical artistic skills and a deeper appreciation of the role of art in the wider world.

Art is delivered through a structured and progressive curriculum that ensures pupils build skills over time while remaining engaged and inspired.
